49Y4298 (10Gb Uplinks) can be applied on the base switch when you need more external bandwidth. The upgrade enables four external 10 GbE ports with SFP+ connectors (SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables are not included). This upgrade requires the base switch. Additionally, both 90Y3562 (Upgrade 1) and 49Y4298 (10Gb Uplinks) can be applied on the switch at the same time to allow you to use 28 internal 10 GbE ports leveraging all four ports on an four-port expansion card, and to utilize all external ports on the switch.

With flexible mapping, the use of one external 10 GbE port license for ten 1 GbE ports gives an additional 40 port licenses (total of 64 with the base) that can be applied to the internal and external ports which allows any combination of internal and external 1 GbE ports and external 10 GbE ports.
